Task

The project was a marketplace for corporate sales of construction materials in North America. The solution needed to support the sale of over 20,000 different items, provide complete information on each product, and indicate their precise location in one of the client's 15 warehouses. Additionally, it was essential to develop a system of personalized pricing offers that would take into account specific client characteristics, seasonality, order volume, and other factors

Solution

We developed the platform's UI/UX design and, after approval, successfully implemented it in the project. Our team also carried out integrations with other platforms and payment services. In addition, the FTech-IT team participated in ongoing support and further development of the project for several months after its release

Impact

The platform streamlined the corporate sales process, enabling the management of 20,000+ SKUs and leading to a 30% reduction in time spent by sales staff on order management and price inquiries

Development Process

We engineered a corporate B2B construction marketplace using Symfony PHP framework for robust backend operations and MySQL for managing complex product and inventory data. The frontend was built with React/TypeScript and Redux for state management, featuring custom UI components with styled-components and optimized loading states with React Skeleton. The platform integrated real-time inventory tracking across 15 warehouses and implemented dynamic pricing algorithms through Redis caching, with BitBucket managing the development workflow
