The client is a neobank based in North America, offering a new approach to banking services — speed, convenience, a modern application, and a set of unique features tailored to the banking sector in North America. This approach inevitably affected the bank’s IT infrastructure. The constantly updated application, fast operations, and the continuous addition of new user features required constant adaptation. The task was to rewrite the code of certain backend modules of the mobile banking application and implement new functionalities. Additionally, it was necessary to develop a quick loan feature that would automatically calculate the user’s credit limit based on their current balance and monthly deposits over the past six months
Although our team did not develop the application from scratch, the volume of code written and the new functionality implemented allows us to claim nearly complete development of the backend for the application. Our specialists have successfully developed the backend for the mobile app of the neobank, establishing themselves as excellent and reliable performers
The client obtained a platform with powerful features such as banking transactions, salary management, PDF reporting, and real-time notifications, while embedding robust security and integration with financial service providers. From launch, the app onboarded over 10,000 users in its first quarter and processed more than $5 million in salaries and transfers. Usage of built-in salary and KYC features significantly increased monthly active user growth, while support requests decreased notably thanks to automated PDFs, notifications, and integration workflows

Our team implemented and tested the back-end of the banking application
A unique functionality for banking systems in North American countries was implemented: the ability to receive instant loans, automatic transfer of salary percentage to investment accounts, the option for quick issuance of plastic cards, and more

We began with business analysis and data modeling, designing a robust API and backend architecture to support banking operations. Integrations were implemented with MBanq as the banking provider (via REST and GraphQL), KYC services through DocsAlloy, and salary features via Plaid. The system also supports PDF report generation and push notification delivery. Meanwhile, UI/UX designs were created and translated into a polished mobile app, which was developed, tested, and published on both iOS and Android platforms
